About
My name is Andrew Wolfson, and I’m a board-certified music therapist based in Kingston, NY. I take a humanistic, integrative approach to music therapy, offering services that foster expression, connection, and participation across educational, healthcare, and community settings.
I earned my Master of Science in Music Therapy from SUNY New Paltz in 2023, completing internships at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine and The Music Therapy Studio in Kingston. Since 2023, I’ve provided music therapy with Expressive Journeys in Albany, where I continue to facilitate K–12 classroom enrichment, hospital-based music support, music wellness, and residential engagement. I also serve as an adjunct professor in the SUNY New Paltz music department, a position I’ve held since 2024.
Before becoming a music therapist, I spent 15 years immersed in music, touring nationally and internationally, collaborating with producers, and sharing my work through performance, songwriting, and creative expression. These experiences deepened my understanding of music’s impact and continue to shape my work today. With everything music has given me, I’m committed to helping others connect, express themselves, and thrive through music.
